Apple TV | HIJACK (Season2)

Hijack is an Apple TV+ psychological thriller known for its real-time tension, restrained visual language, and precise control of pacing. Building on the thematic foundation of Season One, this new title sequence reimagines the visual language with a bold, graphic edge.
Vibrant, organic light flows beneath the U-Bahn control map, behaving like illuminated traces left behind by unseen movement, hinting at hidden worlds operating just below the surface. As the camera descends, negative space sculpts emotive scenes and silhouettes, allowing tension and mystery to emerge through absence as much as form. A single red line becomes the visual anchor of the journey—an unbroken thread, like a persistent light trail, pulling the viewer deeper into the unknown.

I was responsible for designing this concept's frames below during the pitch stage.

Animation

The following are the first-pass animation I did during the production stage.

Process

I received a set of visual references from Art Director James Robertson, centered around dynamic light streaks and motion blur in a bold red palette, alongside a storyboard outlining the narrative arc — beginning with a train journey along the red line, diving through tunnels, and culminating in abstract shapes that reveal a human figure before fading to darkness.
